Pandora Storm + ScorpionTrack S5-VTS

The Storm stops it being driven. The S5-VTS knows if it moves without you

Prevention, driver recognition and recovery

The Storm stops the car being driven by anybody who cannot produce the tag, the code or the app, on almost any vehicle. The S5-VTS adds Thatcham category S5 monitored tracking with driver recognition on top: it carries an Automatic Driver Recognition tag, so a car moving without that tag present is an alert in its own right, watched by a staffed control centre around the clock.

  • Pandora Storm stops the car being driven
  • ScorpionTrack S5-VTS finds it if it is taken some other way
  • Notice an attempt on the ignition without the tag, the code or the app, and ScorpionTrack S5-VTS's control centre already knows, and calls you

Why fit these two together

Linked, not just fitted side by side

Fit the Storm and the S5-VTS as this package and we link the two together at the fitting stage: if the Storm notices an attempt on the ignition without the tag, the code or the app, the S5-VTS's control centre already knows about it as well, and will call you. That link is not a feature either product carries on its own out of the box, and it is not something you get by simply buying both separately.

Prevention plus a second, independent check

The Storm's tag, code or app stop the engine running. The S5-VTS's driver recognition tag is a separate signal to the control centre that something is wrong, even in the rare case the Storm is somehow defeated.

Answers S5 wording directly

Where an S7 tracker will not satisfy a policy that names Thatcham S5, the S5-VTS does, so this is the pairing to reach for once you know your insurer wants driver recognition specifically.

Covers the older and unusual vehicles too

The Storm's CAN bus, FD-CAN or old-school wiring support means this pairing is not limited to newer cars, which matters on a van or an older vehicle a straightforward alarm and tracker combination would struggle with.

Is the Storm + S5 package right for you?

Worth it for

Vehicles where your insurer has specifically asked for Thatcham S5 tracking, and anybody who wants prevention from the Storm alongside driver-recognised monitored recovery, including on older or unusually wired vehicles.

Probably not for

Anybody whose policy only requires Thatcham S7, or who has no tracking requirement at all. The S5-VTS's driver recognition is a genuine step up in cost and capability over the plain S7, and it is only worth it if your policy or your own worry actually calls for it.

Not sure which side of that you fall on? Tell us the make, model and year and what you are actually worried about, and we will tell you straight, including when the cheaper option is the right answer.

Ask us about your car

Professionally installed by Securacar

The Storm + S5 package is only as good as the install

The box is the same wherever you buy it. What changes is where it ends up in the car and how cleanly it is wired in, and that is the part a thief actually has to beat. It is most of what you are paying us for, so it is worth saying plainly.

On the Pandora Storm + ScorpionTrack S5-VTS: the Storm is wired into whatever the vehicle actually has, and the S5-VTS's tag and aerial are set up and tested alongside it in the same visit. Getting the driver recognition tag properly explained to you before we leave matters as much as the wiring itself.

  • Fitted where you are

At your home or your workplace, across the North West. You hand the keys over at the start and get on with your day.

  • Hidden properly

The first thing a thief does is look for the unit. Where it goes is decided on your car, on the day, not copied from a diagram.

  • Shown how it works

Before we leave, you use it yourself with us stood there. Nobody drives off unsure which button does what.

  • TASSA approved

We are TASSA approved installers, which is a check on the people doing the work rather than on the box. It is the accreditation that exists precisely because a good system fitted badly is not a good system.

  • We are here afterwards

Questions a week later, or a year later, get answered. You are dealing with the person who fitted it, not a call centre.

Booking it

What happens if you go ahead

Four steps, no showroom visit and no deposit taken over the internet. Most people are booked in within a couple of minutes of picking up the phone.

  1. 01

    Tell us the car

Make, model and year, by phone, WhatsApp or the form below. We confirm the Storm + S5 is right for your vehicle before anything is booked, and we will say so if it is not.

  2. 02

We price it for your car

No two vehicles are the same job, so you get a price for yours rather than a figure off a list. It is the price you pay, and nothing is booked until you are happy with it.

  3. 03

    We come to you

At your home or your workplace, at a time that suits you, anywhere across the North West. You hand the keys over at the start and get on with your day.

  4. 04

You use it before we leave

We set it up with you, then watch you use it yourself. Nobody drives away unsure which button does what, and we are still here a year later if you have a question.

Storm + S5 questions

Does the control centre only find out once the car has actually been driven off?+

No, not with this package. We link the Storm to the S5-VTS when we fit them together, so if the Storm notices an attempt on the ignition without the tag, the code or the app, the control centre already knows about it too and will call you to check, whether or not the car has actually gone anywhere yet.

Why the S5-VTS rather than the plain S7 alongside the Storm?+

Driver recognition. The S5-VTS carries a tag that tells the control centre whether an authorised driver is present, so the vehicle moving without it is an alert on its own rather than something a human has to interpret later. If your insurer has specifically asked for Thatcham S5, this is the tier that satisfies it; the S7 does not.

Does the Storm make the S5-VTS's tracking redundant?+

No. The Storm stops the engine running for anybody without the tag, code or app. The S5-VTS's job starts if the car is taken some other way entirely, and its driver recognition tag is a second, independent signal that something is wrong.

Which tag do I carry, the Storm's or the S5-VTS's?+

Both, and they do different jobs. The Storm's tag lets you start the car. The S5-VTS's Automatic Driver Recognition tag tells the tracker's control centre that an authorised driver is present. We will show you which is which before we leave.

Do I pay two subscriptions?+

Only one. The Storm carries no subscription, the same as any alarm or immobiliser we fit. The S5-VTS's monitoring is the only ongoing cost in this package, and we will tell you exactly what it is before you commit to anything.

Do you fit both in one visit?+

Yes. One booking, one visit, both systems fitted and explained before we leave. It is not two separate jobs on two separate days.

Can I have either one on its own instead?+

Yes, and we will say so if that is genuinely the better answer for your car. This package exists because the two together cover more ground than either does alone, not because we would rather sell you two things.
