No tag, no start
The engine will not run without an authorised tag present. Relaying, cloning or stealing your actual key gets somebody a car that sits exactly where it is.
It gets the car back, and stops it going in the first place

Everything the S5 VTS does, plus the part that actually stops the theft: the engine will not start without an authorised tag, and you can block it from your phone.
This is the answer to the honest problem with every other tracker on this site: a tracker tells you where the car went, but it does not stop it going. The Deadlock Pro does both. It is the same Thatcham S5 monitored tracking as the S5 VTS, with immobilisation built on top, which makes it the only unit here that belongs in a conversation about prevention rather than recovery.
The headline is no tag, no start. Two encrypted driver tags come with it, and the engine will not run unless one of them is present. A thief who relays your key signal off the doorstep, clones the fob, or simply walks out of your kitchen with the real key still finds a car that will not go anywhere, because the tag is what the system is actually asking about.
It also watches the diagnostic port, which matters more than it sounds. Plugging into the OBD socket to program a fresh key is one of the more common ways a modern car gets taken, and the Deadlock Pro is built to block that route specifically. On top of all that you can immobilise the vehicle yourself from the app, and the control room can act while the car is still moving. It is fully transferable to your next vehicle when you change cars, and journey history runs thirty days deep.

You can send the engine block yourself, from the app, wherever you happen to be. So can the control room, if it comes to that.
Plugging into the OBD socket to program a new key is a common way in on a modern car. This is built to shut that particular route down.
A staffed control room, day and night, all year. They ring you first to rule out the obvious, then work with the police if it is genuine.
Journey history, driving scores and geo-fenced areas you can be told about. The same app as the rest of the range.
Immobilisation is the new part, but the recovery side has not gone anywhere. If a vehicle does move, it is still tracked and still monitored.
Anybody who wants one system to do both jobs, and anybody whose insurer has asked for an S5 on a car they would rather did not leave the drive at all. It is the strongest answer here for keyless vehicles.
Anybody who only needs to satisfy a policy requirement as cheaply as possible. If the insurer simply wants an approved tracker and prevention is not the worry, the S5 VTS does that for less. If you want the no tag no start immobilisation but your car does not have the OBD vulnerability this specifically closes, the plain S5 Deadlock does the same core job without paying for the port protection.
Not sure which side of that you fall on? Tell us the make, model and year and what you are actually worried about, and we will tell you straight, including when the cheaper option is the right answer.
Ask us about your carEverything the S5 Deadlock Pro is capable of. Ask us which parts actually matter on your vehicle, and what your insurer has asked for.
Specification per the manufacturer. Hardware and app features vary between revisions, so we will confirm what applies to yours before fitting.
Professionally installed by Securacar
The box is the same wherever you buy it. What changes is where it ends up in the car and how cleanly it is wired in, and that is the part a thief actually has to beat. It is most of what you are paying us for, so it is worth saying plainly.
On the Meta Trak S5 Deadlock Pro: there are two jobs here rather than one. The tracking side wants an aerial position with enough sky and enough concealment, and the immobilisation side has to be wired so the block is reliable without upsetting anything the vehicle does normally. Getting the second one wrong is how you end up with a car that will not start on a cold morning for the wrong reason.
At your home or your workplace, across the North West. You hand the keys over at the start and get on with your day.
The first thing a thief does is look for the unit. Where it goes is decided on your car, on the day, not copied from a diagram.
Before we leave, you use it yourself with us stood there. Nobody drives off unsure which button does what.
We are TASSA approved installers, which is a check on the people doing the work rather than on the box. It is the accreditation that exists precisely because a good system fitted badly is not a good system.
Questions a week later, or a year later, get answered. You are dealing with the person who fitted it, not a call centre.
Booking it
Four steps, no showroom visit and no deposit taken over the internet. Most people are booked in within a couple of minutes of picking up the phone.
Make, model and year, by phone, WhatsApp or the form below. We confirm the S5 Deadlock Pro is right for your vehicle before anything is booked, and we will say so if it is not.
No two vehicles are the same job, so you get a price for yours rather than a figure off a list. It is the price you pay, and nothing is booked until you are happy with it.
At your home or your workplace, at a time that suits you, anywhere across the North West. You hand the keys over at the start and get on with your day.
We set it up with you, then watch you use it yourself. Nobody drives away unsure which button does what, and we are still here a year later if you have a question.
The detail, if you want it
Invisible. You carry one of the two tags on your keyring or in a pocket and the car behaves exactly as it always has. There is nothing to press and no code to remember. The only time you notice it is if the tag is not there, which is the point.
The diagnostic socket under your dashboard is how a garage talks to the car, and it is also how a thief with the right tool can program themselves a working key in a couple of minutes. It is one of the more common ways a modern vehicle is taken. The Deadlock Pro is built to block that route specifically, which a tracker on its own does nothing about.
You can send the engine block yourself from the app, and the control room can act too. In practice a stolen vehicle is stopped in coordination with the police rather than at the roadside. It will not cut the engine at speed, and any system claiming it would is describing something nobody should sell.
Both stop the car being driven. A Ghost is silent, has no subscription and does nothing else. The Deadlock Pro adds monitored tracking, alerts and recovery on top, and carries a subscription because of the control room behind it. Our guide on choosing between the categories is the place to start if you are undecided.
Yes. It is a Thatcham category S5 system, and the immobilisation is in addition rather than instead. That matters if your insurer has specified S5, because you get the wording satisfied and the prevention as well. Send us the policy wording and we will confirm it before anything is ordered.
The VTS tracks and is monitored. The Deadlock Pro does all of that and adds immobilisation: no tag, no start, a remote engine block you can trigger yourself, and protection for the diagnostic port. If you want the theft prevented rather than only solved, this is the one.
You carry one of the two supplied tags, on your keyring or in a pocket, and the car behaves entirely normally. You do not press anything. If somebody tries to drive it without a tag present, the engine will not run for them.
The diagnostic port under the dashboard is how a garage talks to your car, and it is also how a thief can program themselves a fresh key in a couple of minutes. This is built to block that specific route, which a plain tracker does nothing about.
Yes, from the app. The control room can act as well. In practice a stolen vehicle is usually stopped in coordination with the police rather than at the roadside, for reasons that should be fairly obvious.
No. It is designed to prevent a vehicle being started or driven away, not to cut out at speed. Anybody selling you a system that stops a moving car on a motorway is selling you a lawsuit.
Yes, and there has to be. The subscription pays for the staffed control room watching the vehicle and the recovery service behind it, not for the box itself. We will tell you what it costs before you commit to anything, and we will tell you honestly if a monitored system is more than you actually need.
Almost certainly. Trackers are far less fussy about make and model than an alarm is, because they are not talking to the car's own systems in the same way. Send us the make, model and year and we will confirm before you commit to anything.

We will ring you back shortly. If it is urgent, give us a call and we will pick up.
