1. Who we are

2. These terms

These are the terms on which we supply and install vehicle security systems. By asking us to carry out work, you accept them. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

3. Quotations

Any figure we give before seeing the vehicle is an estimate based on what you have told us. If the vehicle turns out to need materially more work than described, we will tell you before starting and you may decide not to proceed.

4. Booking and access

You are responsible for making sure the vehicle is accessible at the agreed time and place, with room to work safely, and for providing the keys.

If we arrive and cannot carry out the work for reasons within your control, we may charge for the wasted visit. [to confirm] Whether a call out charge applies, and how much.

5. Your right to cancel

Because we agree this work away from our business premises, you generally have a legal right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

If you ask us to start the work within that period and then cancel, you may have to pay for what has already been done. Once the work is fully performed with your agreement inside the 14 days, the right to cancel is lost.

6. Payment

7. Warranty

Equipment we supply carries the manufacturer's warranty. Our installation work is warranted separately.

This is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which requires services to be carried out with reasonable care and skill.

8. What security systems can and cannot do

No vehicle security system makes a vehicle impossible to steal. What a properly installed system does is make a vehicle significantly harder, slower and riskier to take. We do not guarantee that a vehicle will not be stolen, and we are not liable for theft or its consequences.

Where a system depends on a subscription, monitoring service or mobile network coverage provided by a third party, we are not responsible for the availability of those services.

9. Your vehicle and its warranty

Manufacturers word their vehicle warranties differently. We install in a manner designed to work alongside a vehicle's existing electronics, but it is your responsibility to check the position with your dealer if that matters to you. We are happy to discuss what an installation involves so you can do that.

10. Insurance

It is your responsibility to tell your insurer about any security system fitted, and to check that what we install satisfies any requirement they have set. We can tell you what category a product meets, but we cannot tell you what your insurer will accept.

11. Liability

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Complaints

If something is not right, contact us first and we will try to put it right. We fitted it, so it is ours to sort out.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
