Choose how you prove it's you
The Bluetooth tag in your pocket, a code sequence on your own dash and steering wheel buttons, or the Pandora app. Use whichever fits how you live with the car.
A Thatcham CAT 2 immobiliser that fits almost any wiring

A Thatcham CAT 2 immobiliser that fits almost anything with wheels, from a new car with a full data network to something older wired the traditional way. Disarm it with the tag, a code on your own buttons, or your phone.
For your peace of mind
The Storm is an electronic immobiliser, and it is worth being clear about that before anything else: no siren, no sensors, no alarm. Its one job is making sure the car cannot be driven by anybody who cannot produce the tag, the code or the app, and you choose which of the three suits how you actually live with the car. Keep the encrypted Bluetooth tag in your pocket and get in as normal, disarm it from the Pandora app on your phone, or tap a code sequence out on buttons your car already has where your vehicle supports that option.
What sets it apart from the rest of the immobilisers we fit is what it will go on. Newer cars mostly run on a data network, and the Storm connects to that over CAN bus or FD-CAN where it exists. Plenty of vehicles do not have one worth using, older cars, vans and ATVs among them, and the Storm is built to work there too, wired the traditional way. That is real coverage the CAN and LIN only Microbot cannot offer.
On Android the tag and the app disarm the car seamlessly over Bluetooth in the background. On iPhone the app needs opening first, which is a genuine difference worth knowing rather than discovering. Either way, your original factory key keeps working exactly as it always has, the Storm simply decides whether the engine is allowed to actually run.

The Bluetooth tag in your pocket, a code sequence on your own dash and steering wheel buttons, or the Pandora app. Use whichever fits how you live with the car.
On vehicles that support it, set it up on the code sequence and there is no tag to remember and no additional layer to add. Tap it out on buttons the car already has.
On Android, the app disarms the car over Bluetooth in the background. On iPhone, open the app first. Either way, nothing new to carry.
CAN bus and FD-CAN on newer cars, or the traditional wiring on something older, a van, or an ATV. Where a CAN only immobiliser stops, the Storm keeps going.
Thatcham CAT 2 approved, with a genuine certificate behind it. Send us your policy wording and we will confirm it before anything is booked.
Older vehicles, vans and anything without a modern data network worth using, where you still want a properly certified immobiliser and a choice of how to disarm it.
Anybody who wants to be told when something happens, or to see where the car is. The Storm has no siren, no sensors and no mobile connection. For that, look at the Storm Plus, the Smart Pro or the Elite.
Not sure which side of that you fall on? Tell us the make, model and year and what you are actually worried about, and we will tell you straight, including when the cheaper option is the right answer.
Ask us about your carEverything the Storm is capable of. You will not use all of it, and that is fine. Ask us which parts actually matter on your car.
Specification per the manufacturer. Exact features can vary by vehicle and by version, so we will confirm what applies to yours before fitting.
Professionally installed by Securacar
The box is the same wherever you buy it. What changes is where it ends up in the car and how cleanly it is wired in, and that is the part a thief actually has to beat. It is most of what you are paying us for, so it is worth saying plainly.
On the Pandora Storm: the first job is working out what your car actually has to connect to, a modern data network or a traditional loom, since the Storm is built to fit either. That decision, and where the unit and the tag reader end up, is made on your specific vehicle rather than from a diagram.
At your home or your workplace, across the North West. You hand the keys over at the start and get on with your day.
The first thing a thief does is look for the unit. Where it goes is decided on your car, on the day, not copied from a diagram.
Before we leave, you use it yourself with us stood there. Nobody drives off unsure which button does what.
We are TASSA approved installers, which is a check on the people doing the work rather than on the box. It is the accreditation that exists precisely because a good system fitted badly is not a good system.
Questions a week later, or a year later, get answered. You are dealing with the person who fitted it, not a call centre.
Booking it
Four steps, no showroom visit and no deposit taken over the internet. Most people are booked in within a couple of minutes of picking up the phone.
Make, model and year, by phone, WhatsApp or the form below. We confirm the Storm is right for your vehicle before anything is booked, and we will say so if it is not.
No two vehicles are the same job, so you get a price for yours rather than a figure off a list. It is the price you pay, and nothing is booked until you are happy with it.
At your home or your workplace, at a time that suits you, anywhere across the North West. You hand the keys over at the start and get on with your day.
We set it up with you, then watch you use it yourself. Nobody drives away unsure which button does what, and we are still here a year later if you have a question.
The detail, if you want it
Modern cars mostly run on a data network, so a lot of newer security talks to that instead of touching individual wires. Not every vehicle has one worth using, especially older cars, vans and ATVs, so the Storm is built to work either way: over CAN bus and FD-CAN where a car has them, or spliced into the traditional wiring where it does not. That is the main reason we would put it on a vehicle instead of the Microbot, which needs a CAN or LIN connection to work at all.
The car is checking for the encrypted tag, not for your key, so carrying your key's signal out to the car on a relay box gets a thief nowhere. Our guide to relay theft explains how the attack itself is carried out, if that is your main worry.
Whichever suits how you live with the car. The tag is the most effortless, keep it in your pocket and get in as normal. The app leans on your phone's Bluetooth instead, and disarms automatically in the background on Android, where an iPhone needs the app open first. The code needs nothing carried at all, just a sequence tapped on buttons your car already has, though it is only available on some vehicles, and we will tell you if yours is one of them. Most people end up using one day to day and knowing the second as a backup.
Yes. It holds Thatcham CAT 2 approval, certificate TSC522, issued in October 2023. That is the electronic immobiliser category, and it is worth checking against your policy's own wording rather than assuming, since insurers do not all ask for the same thing. Send us what yours says and we will confirm it before anything is booked.
Because it does not try to be one. There is no siren, no sensors and no notification if somebody leans on the car or tries a door. Its entire job is making sure the engine will not run for anybody who cannot produce the tag, the code or the app, and it does that job well. We cover the difference between an alarm and an immobiliser here if that distinction matters to your decision.
No. There is no siren, there are no sensors and it will not notify you of anything. It is an electronic immobiliser, so its entire job is making sure the car cannot be driven. If you want to be told when somebody leans on the car or tries a door, you want a Smart, a Smart Pro or an Elite instead.
Yes. It holds Thatcham CAT 2 approval, certificate TSC522, issued in October 2023. Check the exact wording your insurer uses rather than assuming, and send it to us before you commit to anything, since insurers word these requirements differently from one another.
Very possibly, and that is one of the main reasons to choose it over some of the newer Pandora systems. The Storm is built to connect over a modern data network where a car has one, and to be wired the traditional way where it does not, which covers older cars, vans and ATVs the CAN and LIN only Microbot cannot reach. Tell us the make, model and year and we will confirm before anything is booked.
They do the same core job: stop the car being driven, silently, with nothing for a thief to find. A Ghost is disarmed by a code alone, entered on buttons your car already has. The Storm offers that same code option plus an encrypted Bluetooth tag and a smartphone app, and its wiring support reaches vehicles without a modern data network, which a Ghost's reliance on that network cannot. Tell us your make, model and year and we will say which we would fit.
No. There is no SIM in it and no mobile connection, so there is nothing to pay monthly. That also means it cannot track the car or tell you anything from a distance, which is the trade you are making for a system with no running cost.
Most cars from the last fifteen years or so, yes, but it does depend on the make, model and year. Send us those three things and we will confirm before you commit to anything.
At your home or your workplace, anywhere across the North West. You hand over the keys at the start, we show you how it works at the end, and you get on with your day in between.
What we fit is designed to sit alongside your car's own electronics and we do not cut into anything we should not. Manufacturers word their warranties differently though, so it is worth a quick check with your dealer first. We are happy to talk it through.
Tell us what you drive and where you are, and we will come back to you the same day where we can.
We will ring you back shortly. If it is urgent, give us a call and we will pick up.
The same immobiliser, plus tracking and alerts
All of the Storm's immobiliser, with GPS tracking, GSM connectivity and the Pandora Connect app added on top. The natural step if you decide you want to be told when something happens after all, without moving to a full alarm.
Step up toA full alarm, tracker and immobiliser
If you want to be told when something happens rather than only to stop the car moving, this is the step. It adds the siren, the sensors, GPS tracking and the app. It is a bigger job and a bigger spend.

Similar idea, code only, entered on buttons your car already has. The Storm adds the tag and the app as alternatives, and its wiring support reaches older vehicles a Ghost's reliance on the car's data network cannot.
