Pandora Elite
The Elite is the top of the Pandora range, and it is the system we fit when somebody wants everything in one place rather than three separate boxes doing three separate jobs. It is an alarm, a tracker and a hidden immobiliser working together, controlled from an app on your phone or the two way remote in your pocket.
The data connection is 4G over dual SIM, including one eSIM, so it has a second route online if the first drops out. Bluetooth 5.0 handles close range work with the app and up to ten paired devices, and the redesigned remote uses LoRa radio to stay in touch with the car up to a mile away, much further than a normal fob manages. Positioning uses GPS and GLONASS on a dual antenna, and falls back to wifi so it can still place the car in an underground car park.
It watches for the things that actually happen: relay attacks, key cloning, someone swapping the ECU or the ignition switch, signal jammers being used nearby, and the car being towed or lifted. If the battery is disconnected, a wireless siren with its own backup power keeps working. Connect it to up to four CAN buses, including CAN FD on the newest vehicles, and it can also start the engine or run independent heating on a frosty morning.

The Elite is only as good as the install
The box is the same wherever you buy it. What changes is where it ends up in the car and how cleanly it is wired in, and that is the part a thief actually has to beat. It is most of what you are paying us for, so it is worth saying plainly.
On the Pandora Elite: it carries two GPS antennas and two GSM antennas, and where each one sits changes how well the car holds a signal in a steel structure. With up to four CAN connections there is real routing to plan as well. This is placement work, not just wiring.

The detail, if you want it
What does connecting to the CAN bus actually mean?+
Modern cars run on a data network rather than a loom of individual wires. Connecting to it means the Elite can read what the car already knows, so it sees a door open or the bonnet lift without a sensor being bolted on for each one. It also means far less cutting into your wiring, which is better for the car and leaves less for somebody to find. The Elite takes up to four of these connections, including the faster CAN FD used on the newest vehicles.
Why does it have two antennas?+
One pair is for positioning and one for the mobile connection, and each is doubled. A car is a steel box, so where an antenna sits changes how well it holds a signal in a multi storey or between buildings. Doubling them means the system has a second route when the first is blocked, which matters most at exactly the moment you would want it to work.
How does it stop relay theft?+
Relay theft works by carrying your key's signal from wherever it is in the house out to the car. The Elite does not rely on that signal being genuine: an immobiliser tag has to be present before the car will move, and that tag is not something a relay box can stretch. What is remote start actually like to live with?+
You press it from the kitchen and the engine runs so the car is warm and clear by the time you get in. The immobiliser bypass is built into the unit, so you never hand a spare key over to make it work, which is the usual catch with cheaper remote start kits. It can also run independent heating on vehicles that have it.
Why is there a SIM, and what does that mean?+
Everything that reaches you when you are away from the car goes over a mobile connection: alerts, tracking, the app. That needs a SIM in the unit and a data plan behind it, which is an ongoing cost rather than a one off. The first six months of that service come free with the Elite, after which it is £70 for six months or £125 for twelve. We will confirm the current terms before you commit. If you would rather have no running cost at all, the Light Pro does a great deal without a mobile connection.

Is the Pandora Elite worth it over the Smart Pro?+
If you want tracking and an OLED remote alongside the alarm, yes. If you are happy running everything from your phone and do not need the remote, the Smart Pro does the same core job for less. We will tell you honestly which suits your car when we speak.
Is the Pandora Elite Thatcham approved?+
Yes. It is approved to Thatcham Category 1, certificate TSC250.
Will the Pandora Elite fit my car?+
Most cars from the last fifteen years or so, yes, but it does depend on the make, model and year. Send us those three things and we will confirm before you commit to anything.

Will it affect my manufacturer warranty?+
What we fit is designed to sit alongside your car's own electronics and we do not cut into anything we should not. Manufacturers word their warranties differently though, so it is worth a quick check with your dealer first. We are happy to talk it through.
