Pandora Mini BT + ScorpionTrack S5+

Two independent immobilisers, driver recognition, and a monitored tracker

Maximum layering, honestly explained

This pairs the Mini BT with the S5+, a Thatcham S5 tracker that will not let the vehicle start without its own Automatic Driver Recognition tag present. Both halves of this package can immobilise the car, by different mechanisms, so it is worth more prevention than most vehicles need. We fit it where a policy specifically requires the immobilisation built into the tracker, or where an owner wants that genuine redundancy.

  • Pandora Mini BT stops the car being driven
  • ScorpionTrack S5+ finds it if it is taken some other way
  • Notice a door, a shock or an attempt on the ignition, and ScorpionTrack S5+'s control centre already knows, and calls you

Why fit these two together

Linked, not just fitted side by side

Fit the Mini BT and the S5+ as this package and we link the two together at the fitting stage: if the Mini BT notices a door, a shock or an attempt on the ignition, the S5+'s control centre already knows about it as well, and will call you. That link is not a feature either product carries on its own out of the box, and it is not something you get by simply buying both separately.

The plain S5-VTS covers most cases

If you do not need the tracker's own immobilisation specifically, the S5-VTS alongside the Mini BT gives the same driver-recognised monitoring for less.

Some policies name it specifically

Where an insurer or finance agreement wants immobilisation built into the approved tracker itself, this package answers that directly rather than relying on a separately fitted immobiliser.

Genuinely independent mechanisms

The Mini BT works from your key over CAN bus. The S5+'s immobilisation is tied to its own Driver Recognition tag. Two different failure points, for the vehicles where that is worth having.

Is the Mini BT + S5 Deadlock package right for you?

Worth it for

Vehicles where a policy specifically requires tracker-based immobilisation, or where an owner deliberately wants two independent immobilisers alongside driver-recognised monitored recovery.

Probably not for

An ordinary car with no specific requirement for it. The Mini BT alongside the plain S5-VTS gives the same tracking and driver recognition without a second immobiliser doing the Mini BT's job again.

Not sure which side of that you fall on? Tell us the make, model and year and what you are actually worried about, and we will tell you straight, including when the cheaper option is the right answer.

Ask us about your car

Professionally installed by Securacar

The Mini BT + S5 Deadlock package is only as good as the install

The box is the same wherever you buy it. What changes is where it ends up in the car and how cleanly it is wired in, and that is the part a thief actually has to beat. It is most of what you are paying us for, so it is worth saying plainly.

On the Pandora Mini BT + ScorpionTrack S5+: the Mini BT is set up in slave mode off your key, and the S5+'s tag, aerial and immobilisation are configured alongside it so the two systems do not interfere with each other. Explaining which tag controls which system is as much a part of the visit as the fitting.

  • Fitted where you are

At your home or your workplace, across the North West. You hand the keys over at the start and get on with your day.

  • Hidden properly

The first thing a thief does is look for the unit. Where it goes is decided on your car, on the day, not copied from a diagram.

  • Shown how it works

Before we leave, you use it yourself with us stood there. Nobody drives off unsure which button does what.

  • TASSA approved

We are TASSA approved installers, which is a check on the people doing the work rather than on the box. It is the accreditation that exists precisely because a good system fitted badly is not a good system.

  • We are here afterwards

Questions a week later, or a year later, get answered. You are dealing with the person who fitted it, not a call centre.

Booking it

What happens if you go ahead

Four steps, no showroom visit and no deposit taken over the internet. Most people are booked in within a couple of minutes of picking up the phone.

  1. 01

    Tell us the car

Make, model and year, by phone, WhatsApp or the form below. We confirm the Mini BT + S5 Deadlock is right for your vehicle before anything is booked, and we will say so if it is not.

  2. 02

We price it for your car

No two vehicles are the same job, so you get a price for yours rather than a figure off a list. It is the price you pay, and nothing is booked until you are happy with it.

  3. 03

    We come to you

At your home or your workplace, at a time that suits you, anywhere across the North West. You hand the keys over at the start and get on with your day.

  4. 04

You use it before we leave

We set it up with you, then watch you use it yourself. Nobody drives away unsure which button does what, and we are still here a year later if you have a question.

Mini BT + S5 Deadlock questions

Does the control centre only find out once the car has actually been driven off?+

No, not with this package. We link the Mini BT to the S5+ when we fit them together, so if the Mini BT notices a door, a shock or an attempt on the ignition, the control centre already knows about it too and will call you to check, whether or not the car has actually gone anywhere yet.

Do I really need two immobilisers here?+

Usually not, and we will say so plainly. This package earns its place either when a policy specifically requires the tracker's own immobilisation, or on a vehicle where an owner deliberately wants two independent systems.

What would you recommend for a typical car?+

The Mini BT plus the plain S5-VTS. Same driver recognition and monitored tracking, without paying for a second immobiliser repeating the Mini BT's job.

How many tags will I be carrying?+

Two: the Mini BT's Bluetooth tag and the S5+'s Automatic Driver Recognition tag. We will make sure you know exactly which does what before we leave.

Do I pay two subscriptions?+

Only one. The Mini BT carries no subscription, the same as any alarm or immobiliser we fit. The S5+'s monitoring is the only ongoing cost in this package, and we will tell you exactly what it is before you commit to anything.

Do you fit both in one visit?+

Yes. One booking, one visit, both systems fitted and explained before we leave. It is not two separate jobs on two separate days.

Can I have either one on its own instead?+

Yes, and we will say so if that is genuinely the better answer for your car. This package exists because the two together cover more ground than either does alone, not because we would rather sell you two things.
