Pandora Storm + ScorpionTrack S5+

Two independent immobilisers, driver recognition, and a monitored tracker

Maximum layering, honestly explained

This pairs the Storm with the S5+, a Thatcham S5 tracker that immobilises the vehicle itself if its own Automatic Driver Recognition tag is not present. Worth saying plainly: both halves of this package can stop the car being driven, by different mechanisms. Most vehicles do not need two independent immobilisers, so we will only recommend this pairing where that redundancy, or a specific policy requirement for immobilisation built into the tracker itself, genuinely applies.

  • Pandora Storm stops the car being driven
  • ScorpionTrack S5+ finds it if it is taken some other way
  • Notice an attempt on the ignition without the tag, the code or the app, and ScorpionTrack S5+'s control centre already knows, and calls you

Why fit these two together

Linked, not just fitted side by side

Fit the Storm and the S5+ as this package and we link the two together at the fitting stage: if the Storm notices an attempt on the ignition without the tag, the code or the app, the S5+'s control centre already knows about it as well, and will call you. That link is not a feature either product carries on its own out of the box, and it is not something you get by simply buying both separately.

We will say when the plain S5-VTS is the better answer

If you do not specifically need the tracker's own immobilisation, the plain S5-VTS alongside the Storm gives you the same driver-recognised monitoring for less, without a second immobiliser doing the Storm's job again.

Some policies ask for it specifically

A small number of insurers or finance agreements want the immobilisation living inside the approved tracker itself, not fitted separately elsewhere. This package answers that requirement directly.

Two mechanisms, on the vehicles where that is worth it

The Storm and the S5+ stop the car by different routes. On a genuinely high value vehicle, that independence can be a deliberate choice rather than an accidental overlap.

Is the Storm + S5 Deadlock package right for you?

Worth it for

Vehicles where a policy or finance agreement specifically requires immobilisation built into the tracker itself, or a genuinely high value car where two independent immobilisers is a deliberate decision.

Probably not for

An ordinary car with no specific policy requirement for tracker-based immobilisation. The plain S5-VTS alongside the Storm covers the same tracking and driver recognition for less, without paying for a second immobiliser.

Not sure which side of that you fall on? Tell us the make, model and year and what you are actually worried about, and we will tell you straight, including when the cheaper option is the right answer.

Professionally installed by Securacar

The Storm + S5 Deadlock package is only as good as the install

The box is the same wherever you buy it. What changes is where it ends up in the car and how cleanly it is wired in, and that is the part a thief actually has to beat. It is most of what you are paying us for, so it is worth saying plainly.

On the Pandora Storm + ScorpionTrack S5+: the Storm is wired into whatever the vehicle actually has, and the S5+'s tag, aerial and immobilisation are set up and tested alongside it so neither system interferes with the other. Explaining which tag does what, and why there are two, is as much a part of the job as the wiring.

  • Fitted where you are

At your home or your workplace, across the North West. You hand the keys over at the start and get on with your day.

  • Hidden properly

The first thing a thief does is look for the unit. Where it goes is decided on your car, on the day, not copied from a diagram.

  • Shown how it works

Before we leave, you use it yourself with us stood there. Nobody drives off unsure which button does what.

  • TASSA approved

We are TASSA approved installers, which is a check on the people doing the work rather than on the box. It is the accreditation that exists precisely because a good system fitted badly is not a good system.

  • We are here afterwards

Questions a week later, or a year later, get answered. You are dealing with the person who fitted it, not a call centre.

Booking it

What happens if you go ahead

Four steps, no showroom visit and no deposit taken over the internet. Most people are booked in within a couple of minutes of picking up the phone.

  1. 01

    Tell us the car

Make, model and year, by phone, WhatsApp or the form below. We confirm the Storm + S5 Deadlock is right for your vehicle before anything is booked, and we will say so if it is not.

  2. 02

We price it for your car

No two vehicles are the same job, so you get a price for yours rather than a figure off a list. It is the price you pay, and nothing is booked until you are happy with it.

  3. 03

    We come to you

At your home or your workplace, at a time that suits you, anywhere across the North West. You hand the keys over at the start and get on with your day.

  4. 04

You use it before we leave

We set it up with you, then watch you use it yourself. Nobody drives away unsure which button does what, and we are still here a year later if you have a question.

Storm + S5 Deadlock questions

Does the control centre only find out once the car has actually been driven off?+

No, not with this package. We link the Storm to the S5+ when we fit them together, so if the Storm notices an attempt on the ignition without the tag, the code or the app, the control centre already knows about it too and will call you to check, whether or not the car has actually gone anywhere yet.

Do I actually need both immobilisers?+

Usually not, and we will tell you so before you book anything. This pairing earns its place either when a policy specifically requires immobilisation built into the tracker itself, or on a high value vehicle where an owner wants two independent immobilisers as a deliberate choice.

What would you recommend instead, on a normal car?+

The Storm plus the plain S5-VTS. You keep the driver recognition and the monitored tracking, and the Storm remains the immobiliser, without paying for a second one doing the same job by a different route.

Which tag stops the engine, the Storm's or the tracker's?+

Both can, independently. That is the entire point of this package for the vehicles it genuinely suits, and we will make sure you understand exactly which tag controls which system before we leave.

Do I pay two subscriptions?+

Only one. The Storm carries no subscription, the same as any alarm or immobiliser we fit. The S5+'s monitoring is the only ongoing cost in this package, and we will tell you exactly what it is before you commit to anything.

Do you fit both in one visit?+

Yes. One booking, one visit, both systems fitted and explained before we leave. It is not two separate jobs on two separate days.

Can I have either one on its own instead?+

Yes, and we will say so if that is genuinely the better answer for your car. This package exists because the two together cover more ground than either does alone, not because we would rather sell you two things.
