Both the Mini BT and the X-Series stop the engine running, by different mechanisms, so on most cars this is more prevention than you need. Where it earns its place is a vehicle where two independent immobilisers, on top of monitored recovery, is a deliberate decision.
Fit the Mini BT and the S7 as this package and we link the two together at the fitting stage: if the Mini BT notices a door, a shock or an attempt on the ignition, the S7's control centre already knows about it as well, and will call you. That link is not a feature either product carries on its own out of the box, and it is not something you get by simply buying both separately.
For most cars, the Mini BT alongside the plain S7 tracker covers prevention and recovery without a second immobiliser repeating the Mini BT's job.
The Mini BT works from your original key over CAN bus. The X-Series is a separate CAN bus immobiliser disarmed by its own code. On a vehicle where that genuine redundancy matters, this package delivers it.
Whichever way the immobilisation question is settled, the S7's monitored tracking is doing a job neither immobiliser can, and it is worth having on its own merits.
