Pandora Light Pro
The Light Pro is a great deal more system than the name suggests. It has a siren, a full sensor package, an immobiliser released by a Bluetooth tag, a two way remote with a display, and a mobile app. What it does not have is a SIM card, and that is the whole point of it. There is no mobile connection, so there is nothing to pay monthly and nothing to renew.
The remote is the part people notice. Rather than firing a signal at the car and hoping, it talks both ways over long range LoRa radio, so the car reports back to your hand: whether it is armed, the interior and engine temperatures, battery voltage, fuel level and signal strength. The Bluetooth app shows you the same things when you are near the car, so you can use whichever is closer.
It watches for the things that actually happen. Doors, bonnet and boot, glass breaking, the car being tilted or towed, a wheel going, a knock in a car park, a signal jammer running nearby, somebody swapping the ECU or the ignition switch, and a key being duplicated. Remote start is available as an optional extra, either on demand or automatically by time, by temperature or when the battery drops, and AntiHijack can be added for the rarer case somebody tries to take the car while you are still in it.

The two way remote does not just send, it receives. Armed or not, how warm it is inside, what the battery is doing, how much fuel is in it, all on the display in your hand.
A real siren
A proper siren, not a token beeper. This is a full alarm, not a quiet immobiliser with an alarm badge on it.
It notices the tricks
Signal jammers, a duplicated key, somebody swapping the ECU or the ignition switch. The same protections the connected systems have.
Warm before you get in
Add remote start as an optional extra, then start it from the remote, or set it to start itself at a time, when it drops below a temperature, or when the battery gets low.
The tag has the final say
The immobiliser is released by the Bluetooth tag in your pocket rather than by your car key, so a relayed or cloned key does not move it.
Is the Light Pro right for you?
Worth it for
Anybody who wants a proper alarm with a siren and a two way remote, and does not want a SIM card or a monthly cost attached to their car.
Probably not for
Anybody who needs to see where the car is from anywhere. There is no GPS and no mobile connection in the Light Pro, so once you are out of range of it, it cannot tell you anything.

The Light Pro is only as good as the install
The box is the same wherever you buy it. What changes is where it ends up in the car and how cleanly it is wired in, and that is the part a thief actually has to beat. It is most of what you are paying us for, so it is worth saying plainly.
On the Pandora Light Pro: the siren needs its own well hidden spot, and the two way remote only reaches its full range if the aerial is routed sensibly rather than coiled behind the dash. Both are easy to do badly and invisible when done well.

The detail, if you want it
What is a two way remote, and why does it matter?+
A normal fob fires a signal at the car and hopes. A two way remote receives as well, so the car reports back to your hand: whether it is armed, the temperature inside, battery voltage, fuel level and signal strength. It runs on long range radio rather than Bluetooth, so it works from a good deal further away than a phone would.
What does no SIM actually mean?+
It means no monthly cost and nothing to renew, and it means the car cannot reach you when you are away from it. Those are the same fact. You keep the siren, the sensors, the immobiliser tag and the remote; you give up tracking and being told about things from a distance. For plenty of people that is the right trade.
What is AntiHijack, and is it included?+
An optional extra for the rarer case where somebody tries to take the car while you are still in it. There are two levels available, and we will talk you through what each one actually does before switching either on. It is not part of the standard fit, so ask if you want it added.
What is automatic remote start for, and is it included?+
Remote start is fitted as an optional extra on the Light Pro, at an additional cost, rather than something that comes with the system as standard. Where it is fitted, as well as starting it yourself you can have the engine run on a schedule, when the temperature drops below a point you set, or when the battery gets low. The last one is genuinely useful on a car that sits for weeks, because it is the thing that stops you finding a flat battery in January.
What am I giving up compared with the connected systems?+
Tracking, mainly. There is no GPS and no mobile connection, so if the car is taken the Light Pro cannot tell you where it went. If that is the risk you are actually worried about, look at the Smart or a Thatcham approved tracker instead, and we will happily point you there.

Does the Light Pro track my car?+
No, and this is the thing to be clear about. There is no GPS and no mobile connection in it. The remote reaches a good distance on its long range radio and the app works over Bluetooth when you are near the car, but once you are away from it, it cannot tell you where the car is. If tracking matters to you, look at the Smart or the Smart Pro.
Is there anything to pay monthly?+
No. There is no SIM in the Light Pro, so there is no data plan, no subscription and nothing to renew. You pay for the system and the fitting, and that is the end of it.
Is it a proper alarm, or just an immobiliser?+
A proper alarm. A full siren, three axis shock and tilt sensing, glass breakage, tow detection and the rest of it, plus an immobiliser released by the Bluetooth tag. The name undersells it.
Is a cheaper system still worth fitting?+
Fitted properly, yes. A well hidden system beats an expensive one installed carelessly, because the first thing a thief looks for is the box. That is most of what you are paying us for.
Will the Pandora Light Pro fit my car?+
Most cars from the last fifteen years or so, yes, but it does depend on the make, model and year. Send us those three things and we will confirm before you commit to anything.

Will it affect my manufacturer warranty?+
What we fit is designed to sit alongside your car's own electronics and we do not cut into anything we should not. Manufacturers word their warranties differently though, so it is worth a quick check with your dealer first. We are happy to talk it through.
